Summit County’s Kaibrienne Richins wows judges, advances in ‘American Idol’ top 8
LOS ANGELES — In last night’s episode of “American Idol,” the top 10 hopefuls, including Summit County-raised Kaibrienne Richins, mentored by country music icon Shania Twain, performed tracks from their birth years.
During the live broadcast, the audience’s votes and a last-minute judges’ pick determined which contestants would advance to the top eight, and Richins made it through. She performed “Here Without You” by Three Doors Down and received high praise from judge Luke Bryan.
In the next episode on Monday, April 29, live voting will again determine who progresses to the top six, with the judges throwing an additional lifeline, selecting one more contestant to continue, rounding out the top seven.
