Woodward Park City to host “43 Day” celebrating Ken Block’s legacy

"Ken had a profound connection with Woodward, from his involvement in the grand opening to many cherished returns with our family," Lucy Block said. "He shared the same passion for action sports as well as motorsports so celebrating his life here, surrounded by the community he loved, feels incredibly right."

PARK CITY, Utah — Woodward Park City, in collaboration with the 43 Institute, is set to honor the legacy of Ken Block, a monumental figure in action sports and motorsports, with the first-ever 4/3 Day Annual Block Party & Fundraiser on April 3.

This event will commemorate Block’s significant contributions and support the 43 Institute’s mission to create opportunity for those who don’t necessarily have the support for growth and success.

Ken Block, known for co-founding DC Shoes and Hoonigan Industries, made substantial impacts in skateboarding, snowboarding, motocross, and motorsports. His ventures showcased a deep passion and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on the automotive and sports communities. Block’s tragic passing from a snowmobile accident in January 2023 prompted the creation of “4/3 Day” to celebrate his adventurous spirit and groundbreaking achievements.

The Block Party & Fundraiser will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and feature a variety of activities including a KB Mountain Lab snowboard jam, networking, music by Grammy award winning Mix Master Mike, interactive exhibits, and special guest Travis Pastrana.

Lucy Block, President of 43i, and Gar Trayner, General Manager at Woodward Park City, have both expressed their enthusiasm and commitment to making this event a tribute to Ken Block’s life and legacy.

“Ken had a profound connection with Woodward, from his involvement in the grand opening to many cherished returns with our family,” Lucy said. “He shared the same passion for action sports as well as motorsports so celebrating his life here, surrounded by the community he loved, feels incredibly right.”

With expected attendance of 600-800 people, the event seeks to bring together community members, sponsors, and partners to celebrate Ken Block’s life, supporting a new generation in action sports, motorsports, and creative arts.

Tickets start at $143 with VIP tickets and tables available for purchase as well. More information is available on 43 Institute’s website.
