PARK CITY, Utah — Wasatch Trails Foundation will host a Dine and Discover fundraiser at Firewood restaurant, featuring food stations and heavy appetizers, on Saturday, April 4, offering guests an evening of wood-fired cuisine alongside updates on the future of Wasatch County’s trail system.
The event will feature a curated sampling menu from award-winning chef John Murcko, with guests moving through stations to experience flavors from the wood-fired grill. Trail projects will correspond to each station, so as attendees get their food, they will also learn from leaders who will share updates on current initiatives, organizational goals, and the long-term vision for trails in Wasatch County.
Among the foundation’s biggest undertakings has been the BLT to WOW Connector Trail, a five-mile multiuse route linking Summit and Wasatch counties that is expected to open to riders in spring 2026. The project, developed in collaboration with the Mountain Trails Foundation, broke ground in spring 2024 and includes a bidirectional connector trail (Tall T), a downhill mountain bike trail (WOWZA), a climb/hike trail and a hike-only spur (Boulder Dash) that connects users back to the top of the WOW trail, or Boulder Basin Trailhead.
Wasatch Trails Foundation plans to host a ribbon-cutting with Mountain Trails Foundation on July 1 for the main multi-use/bidirectional connector, Tall T, as well as a soft opening for WOWZA.
The Wasatch Trails Foundation is managed by a team of dedicated volunteers and a full-time executive director, Mia Yue. The organization focuses on building, maintaining and advocating for trails while fostering a strong trail community in Wasatch County.
Tickets for the Dine and Discover event are $75, and the event is open to guests 21 and older. Firewood is located at 306 Main St. in Park City. For those unable to attend, donations to the Wasatch Trails Foundation can be made on the event page or by becoming a yearly member.
