Super Tuesday: What you need to know to vote in Summit County

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — With Super Tuesday on March 5, here’s what you need to know about voting in the United States presidential primary election in Summit County.

Republican Caucus Night

The Republican Party of Summit County’s 2024 Presidential Preference Poll on Neighborhood Caucus Night will be held Tuesday, March 5.

According to a press release from the Summit County Republican Party, this event will replace the Republican presidential primary election, and will determine the allocation of Utah’s National Delegates to the Republican National Convention, as well as the precinct chairs and county and state delegates that will represent each precinct.

The Summit County GOP will hold Caucus Night at the following three locations:

  • Ecker Hill Middle School – 2465 Kilby Road, Park City
  • North Summit High School – 111 100 S, Coalville
  • South Summit Middle School – 355 E 300 S, Kamas

A meet and greet and check-in will begin at 6 p.m., and the meeting, nominations and elections will take place at 7 p.m.

“Summit County Republicans will make their voices heard on March 5,” said Melanie Monestere, chair of the Summit County GOP. “We’re excited to bring family, friends and neighbors together to connect and cast their votes for the Republican Presidential nominee and select precinct party leaders.”

All voters must bring a government photo ID in order to receive a ballot at caucus night. Only registered Republicans will allowed to caucus. Unaffiliated or unregistered Summit County residents can register to vote Republican at Caucus Night.

Democratic Presidential Primary Election

Summit County voters in the 2024 Democratic Presidential Primary Election can vote on Election Day, March 5, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Summit County Library (County Services Building) 110 North Main, Kamas, main floor conference room
  • Park City Hall/Marsac Building – 445 Marsac Avenue, Park City, Council Chambers
  • Summit County Library (Kimball Junction) – 1885 West Ute Boulevard, Park City, main floor conference room
  • Coalville City Hall – 10 North Main Street, Coalville, Council Chambers
