Park City Mountain to celebrate 60th anniversary with events Feb. 9-11

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Mountain will begin celebrating its 60th anniversary later this week.

The ski resort, which opened on Dec. 21, 1963, is currently the largest in the U.S. To celebrate the last six decades, Park City Mountain will host a 60th Anniversary Bash from Feb. 9-11.

The weekend will begin with live music and fireworks at Canyons Village. Other highlights include giveaways, and a performance from indie rock band Wilderado on Feb. 10.

60th anniversary celebration schedule:

Friday Feb. 9

9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Toyota custom goggle straps and TRD Mountain shop at Canyons Village Forum

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Kona Big Wave Ski Beach in the Mountain Village Base Area. Hit the beach with Kona Big Wave at Legacy Lodge with DJ Marty Paws, giveaways and the coolest ski beach at Mountain Village all weekend

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. – MTN Dew Yeti Yurt at Red Pine Lodge. Party like a Yeti and enjoy DJ Matty Mo, giveaways and a ski beach at Red Pine Lodge.

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Toyota Music Den at Miners Camp. The Toyota Music Den returns to Miners Camp with live music by Simba Sax all weekend.

2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. – DJ Lux at the Umbrella Bar

4:30 p.m. – The Pranksters perform live at the Canyons Village Forum. Concert is FREE and open to the public.

4:40 p.m. – Complimentary posters, pins and glow sticks at Canyons Village Forum while supplies last

6:30 p.m. – Fireworks at Canyons Village

Saturday Feb. 10
