Park City Mountain, Deer Valley surpass 200 inches of snow this season

PARK CITY, Utah —Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Resort both reported yesterday that they have surpassed a significant milestone: 200 inches of snow this winter.

According to OpenSnow, a website that estimates winter snowfall based on resort reports, Park City Mountain Resort is currently at 221 inches of snow, which is 106% of average for the season. OpenSnow also has Brighton, Alta, and Snowbird at over 300 inches for the season. Utah had a somewhat “meh” start to the ski season, but the weather began improving in the new year. Resorts are well on track to meet their seasonal averages.

The Utah Snow Pack is now ahead of the 30 year median after dipping dangerously close to a new all time low in early January.
