Know before you go: The 2024 Freestyle Ski World Cup at Deer Valley

This event marks the 26th year that Deer Valley has hosted an international ski competition. The resort has welcomed 21 World Cups, numerous freestyle skiing events, and, most notably, the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

PARK CITY, Utah – Join Deer Valley Resort in welcoming the world’s most prestigious freestyle ski athletes at the 2024 Intermountain Health Freestyle International Ski World Cup. From Feb. 1-3, watch the best in moguls and aerials take to the resort’s iconic slopes to show off their skills and compete for the winning titles.

In addition to the competitions – which are free and open to the public – Deer Valley will be hosting live music, food, and drink at Snow Park Lodge’s EBS Lounge after every competition, and a 200-drone light show to close out the celebrations Saturday evening.

For those looking to elevate their experience even further, Deer Valley’s VIP Freestyle Feast Tickets fully immerse guests in the winter festivities with dinner and drink tickets, VIP tent access, event-specific gifts, and one night (of the guest’s choice) in an exclusive viewing area.

“We’re very proud of the level of service and the experience we can provide,” says Lindsay Arnold, Deer Valley’s events and sponsorship manager. “Every year, this event attracts a bigger crowd than the last. It’s a true collaborative effort between so many different parties in our community to make it all happen.”

Around 850 people help bring this annual event to life, including Deer Valley staff, volunteers, athletes, coaches, press, and more. Preparations begin just after new year, when Deer Valley’s dedicated snowmaking team and expert builders transform the resort’s world-class slopes into professional competitive courses.

“All of our staff and volunteers keep it at this amazing level and each year, we continue to raise the bar and find small ways to make lasting improvements,” says Arnold. “It’s definitely a culture of always trying to do better and once you start that ripple effect, it just keeps going.”
