Kendra Babitz brings decade of expertise to Summit County Health Department
Babitz played a critical role as State Testing Director during the COVID-19 response
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — The Summit County Health Department has recently announced Kendra Babitz as its new Deputy Health Director, effective Nov. 27. Babitz, an experienced public health leader, is recognized for her work in improving health equity and access through data-driven policy.
Babitz’s career spans over a decade at the Department of Health and Human Services, including her most recent role as Deputy Director of Emerging Infections. Notably, she played a critical role as State Testing Director during the COVID-19 response.
In her new role, Babitz aims to deepen her engagement with public health at the local level. Babitz said, “I’ve overseen state-funded projects at the local level and worked with those partners to implement those programs. I appreciate the opportunity to be involved at the ground level to see the impact these projects have on community members.”
