Police Log: Noise complaints fill weekend, cocaine and firearm found during traffic stop

Late-night noise kept Park City police department busy over the weekend, with police logs showing multiple complaints about loud backyard gatherings extending late into the night.
Elsewhere during the week, county deputies arrested two people after a traffic stop on Interstate 80 led to the discovery of marijuana, cocaine, and a firearm inside a vehicle, and another driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI after being stopped for speeding.

Monday, June 22
Incident: Intoxication
Police responded to No Name Saloon after a woman refused to leave the business. Callers said she may have taken something but was not being combative.
Incident: DUI
Deputies stopped a speeding vehicle on eastbound I-80 near mile marker 155. After observing signs of impairment and conducting field sobriety tests, the driver was arrested for DUI. Drug paraphernalia was also found during an inventory of the vehicle.
Tuesday, June 23
Incident: Non-reportable accident
A caller on Heber Avenue reported someone attempting to parallel park struck their parked truck.
Incident: Citizen assist
A blue dirt bike with the key still in the ignition was reported abandoned on a trail above West Abigail Drive near Black Rock.
Incident: Wildlife
A baby deer was reported lying alone on private property near Royal Street East. The caller said no mother was nearby and the fawn appeared uninjured.
Wednesday, June 24
Incident: Reckless driving
Police received a report of a white sport motorcycle traveling well over 100 mph on eastbound I-80 near mile marker 132.
Incident: Parking problem
A vehicle parked in front of a Public Works access door on Iron Horse Drive prompted a request for it to be moved.
Thursday, June 25
Incident: Suspicious activity
A Silver Cloud Drive resident reported someone rang their doorbell around 2:30 a.m. The caller did not answer but yelled through the window.
Incident: Disturbing the peace
A resident on Upper Ironhorse Loop reported a neighbor’s barking dogs and loud music.
Incident: Disturbing the peace
Police received a complaint about a loud hot tub party on Rothwell Road.
Friday, June 26
Incident: Threatening
A caller at a Round Valley program reported receiving threatening messages from a man who had recently been removed from the program.
Incident: Disturbing the peace
Another late-night hot tub gathering on Rothwell Road prompted a noise complaint around 2 a.m.
Incident: Property damage
A Solamere Drive resident reported road construction crews seriously damaged their driveway.

Police responded to complaints of a loud backyard concert near Sidewinder Drive and Buffalo Bill Drive.
Incident: Disturbing the peace
Loud music and people on a Main Street balcony prompted another late-night noise complaint.
Incident: Drugs and weapons offense
Deputies stopped a suspected hit-and-run vehicle on eastbound I-80 and reported finding marijuana, cocaine and a firearm inside. Both the driver and passenger were arrested and booked into the Summit County Jail.
Saturday, June 27
Incident: Wildlife
A cow moose and calf were reported attempting to cross Park Avenue near Squatters Road.
Incident: DUI
Deputies arrested a driver for DUI after an equipment violation stop near S.R. 224 and Village Round Drive.
Sunday, June 28
Incident: Intoxication
Police responded to No Name Saloon around 3 a.m. after reports of an extremely intoxicated man outside the business. Callers said he was not causing problems but wanted him moved from the area.
