The voice of the Miners, Pete Gillwald, was watching the pre-game warm ups before he warmed up as the broadcast commentator as he has for the last 21 years. and told TownLift, “Remember, we had a week off to get healthy, so that can always help. And last time we played Dixie earlier in the season we were up big early and held on toward the end. So we know Dixie and (it) should be a great game. Park City learned a lot from the Springfield game. So we’re in a good position to hopefully keep moving on.”

The Miners are now 10-1 overall as they head into the next playoff match against the 9-2 Timpanogas Timberwolves on Friday, Nov. 3 at home on Dozier Field; kickoff is at 6 p.m.

Gillwald added, “The Miners crowds have been awesome all season.”
