Nightly lane closures on eastbound I-80 through October 1

PARLEYS CANYON, Utah — Nightly lane closures began yesterday on eastbound I-80 and are expected to continue through October 1.

According to the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), traffic flow will be restricted to one lane between mileposts 132 and 133 for nightly work on the exit 133 bridge.

Crews are working to heat straighten damaged steel girders on the bridge, which UDOT said will help to restore integrity and extend the life of the bridge.

Drivers can expect lane closured Monday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Friday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Saturday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m.
