PCHS Junior Liam Snihurowych ran the 5K trail and told TownLift, “It was fun. I was able to improve upon my time by like two and a half minutes from the other race two weeks ago. And it was nice because since it was during the school day, we got to support the school and represent the school for cross country, and we didn’t necessarily mind missing class for the meet. It’s been nice to be able to have this summer sport to train with cross country running so I can improve my skills and conditioning towards cross country skiing in the winter. It’s great to have all those other schools in town to show people Park City.”

Emily Boyle Fisher is the mom of two athletes on the Miners team. She told TownLift, “I love the Park City Invitational because the Park City team can race in their backyard where the trails and hills are most familiar to them. I think the Park City team enjoys racing challenging courses that have more hills. Round Valley is where Park City lives, trains and explores. Plus it’s a great venue for parents to see their racers multiple times throughout the race.”

Miners boys varsity’s top performer was Rylan Betker and on the girls varsity team were Sonja Preston and Kaylee Hale who also had a great race two weeks prior at the same home venue.
