PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City High School girls varsity volleyball team defeated Deer Creek High School 3-0 at home Tuesday.

Deer Creek, the second high school in Heber City, opened this year. Its teams are known as the Riverhawks.

Park City narrowly won the first set before pulling away for the sweep. The final set scores were 25-23, 25-11 and 25-21.

The victory marked the Miners’ ninth consecutive home win dating to last season. The team is led by head coach Bethany Byers and assistant coaches Ed Potts, Shauna Miller and Eric Damon.

Earlier in the evening, Park City’s junior varsity team defeated Deer Creek 3-2. The video below captures the final play of the match.

The second video shows the court changeover between the junior varsity and varsity matches.

The Miners next play at Layton High School on Wednesday.
