HEADS UP: Guardsman Pass will open Thursday, June 8 at 7 a.m.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — UDOT has just announced that Guardsman Pass will open June 8 at 7 a.m. UDOT started clearing remaining snow from the roadway on Monday.

“In a typical year, many of the seasonal routes reopen around Memorial Day weekend,” said a statement from UDOT. “This winter, however, Utah experienced more snowfall than it has since the 1950s, and we had our highest snow-water level ever recorded. With this in mind, it may take longer to open these routes.”
