The Local Market and Bar food hall concept opening in Salt Lake City
SALT LAKE CITY — A new concept is opening in downtown Salt Lake, a spot where culinary meets community. The Local Market & Bar located in The Exchange at 310 East 400 South, aims to have something for everyone. The Local is a food hall-type venue and offers the opportunity to experience a unique blend of flavors and cultures.
Food concepts were curated by Chef and Co-Chief Executive Officer at Hospitality HQ, Akhtar Nawab. The 7,500-square-foot dining venue is open seven days a week, offering food, events, and art exhibits. The Local Market & Bar is slated to announce its opening date this week.
“We are bringing a fresh array of dining offerings and culinary innovators to downtown Salt Lake City,” said Nawab in a press release. “We hope our kitchens serve as a springboard for local culinary artists looking to take their businesses to the next level while also providing a fun, relaxed, and creative place for people to dine together in the Beehive State.”
The Local Market is host to eight food concepts:
- Luna Pizza
- The Cereal Killerz
- Green Chile House
- Lamb & Feta
- Hog & Tradition
- Crave
- Pop’s Burgers
- Good Bar
The gastronomical destination not only impresses with a variety of food options but also hosts special events throughout the week. Saturdays feature live music from top local talent in Salt Lake City, while select Sundays offer Bingo Brunch. The entertainment continues into each month from Book Exchange and Cocktail Pairing to Locals’ Night on Wednesdays with specials from Pop’s Burgers and The Good Bar. Industry Mondays will offer $2 bar items and beer with your name tag.
The Local Market & Bar partnered with Spice Kitchen Incubator to support food entrepreneurs. 15% of opening day sales and a $1,000 donation will be given in support of the International Rescue Committee.
