Employees of Polo Ralph Lauren in Kimball Junction reported a male and female stole multiple items of clothing. The suspect vehicle was then located unoccupied near Bath & Body Works in Kimball Junction.  A short time later, a male and a female matching the suspects descriptions were located inside of Bath & Body Works.  Video surveillance of the incident clearly showed both suspects placing merchandise into a stroller, then leaving Polo Ralph Lauren without paying for the merchandise.

The 33-year-old Kearns woman and 35-year-old Salt Lake City man were arrested, and user amounts of fentanyl were located in the female suspect’s purse.  A search warrant was obtained to search the suspect vehicle and the search yielded four trash bags full of stolen clothing from Polo Ralph Lauren.  The recovered clothing was inventoried and amounted to over $5,000 in value.  Both suspects were taken into custody for felony retail theft and several other drug related offenses.

Deputies responded to a disorderly conduct call past midnight in the Rockport area. The complainant stated a 40-year-old Summit County woman was intoxicated and trespassing. Deputies arrived on scene and found the 40-year-old locked herself in the bathroom after entering the residence through a window. Deputies made several attempts to contact the woman with no response. Deputies then forced entry into the bathroom, and found the woman lying on the floor unresponsive.

The woman was later advised she was under arrest for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. She resisted arrest and was very aggressive. Deputies safely placed the woman into handcuffs. Deputies began escorting her to a patrol vehicle – the woman continued to be aggressive and began flailing and kicking. The woman kicked a deputy in the head. Due to the woman initially being unresponsive, she was transported to a medical facility to be evaluated. Once released by medical personnel, the woman will be booked into jail for multiple violations, including assault on a peace officer.
