Park City dentist faces charges over alleged sexual misconduct and drug offenses with teen

PARK CITY, Utah — A dentist practicing in Park City is facing criminal charges after a teenage girl told police he supplied her with drugs and alcohol and engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with her, according to court documents.
Prosecutors charged Benjamin James Wilson, 48, with five counts: two counts of distribution of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony; unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a Class A misdemeanor; furnishing alcohol to a minor, also a Class A misdemeanor; and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class B misdemeanor, according to court records.
The case stems from a report the 16-year-old made to law enforcement, in which she said Wilson took her to Park City on June 26 and supplied her with marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms and MDMA.
Court records also detail a stop at Wilson’s dental practice, where the girl said he administered nitrous oxide and gave her alcohol. Later that night, she told investigators, Wilson offered her more drugs if she would touch him sexually, and she said she did, according to her statement.
Charges were formally filed Thursday.
