Rocky Mountain Power asks customers to help those in need this winter

SALT LAKE CITY — Rocky Mountain Power is encouraging its customers to help limited-income customers keep their houses warm and lights on this winter by donating to its Lend a Hand Program.

Rocky Mountain Power will donate $2 for every dollar donated by customers up to $120,000 to the Lend a Hand Program, which will help limited-income customers keep up-to-date on their service bills. In 2021 the company helped 3,047 people in 802 households throughout Utah with the program.

“We are very grateful to our customers who generously support this wonderful program,” Rocky Mountain Power Community Relations Director Lucky Morse said in a press release. “The donations help working families, seniors, and individuals with access and functional needs throughout our community.”

Customers can contribute any dollar amount to the program starting at $1 a month, which is added to their monthly Rocky Mountain Power bill. Customers can enroll or request a contribution envelope by calling 1-888-221-7070. Customers in need of assistance can also call Rocky Mountain Power at 1-888-221-7070 to receive help with payment plans or to be connected with other agencies that may be able to address their individual needs.
