Next winter storm expected to largely miss the Wasatch

UTAH — The next storm to bring snow to the Wasatch is forecast to come into the area on Wednesday and last through Thursday. Powderchasers recent seven-day forecast shows the main areas to receive snow with this storm will be the Tetons, Northern Utah and Northern Colorado. Overall the storm is expected to be weaker than the first winter storm of the year that passed through last weekend. The current forecast from Even Thayer of OpenSnow shows snow accumulation to be minimal over the course of the storm’s impact in the region.

It is still possible that this storm could drift south and bring snowfall  to the area though current projections have Northern Utah being the most likely target in the state.

The next storm with a higher chance of snowfall in Park City is forecast to pass through around Halloween or a couple days after.
