Spring brings Park City Museum’s free days, walking tours, and lectures

PARK CITY, Utah. – Historic Park City Alliance invites locals and visitors to experience the Museum’s exhibits from Park City’s booming silver mining days to its rise as a world-renowned ski destination. This spring and summer the Museum offers Museum free days, guided walking tours, and lectures.

“For learners of all ages and the most inquisitive history buffs, the Park City History Museum offers a wide variety of learning experiences suited for every visitor,” said Historic Park City Museum Executive Director Morgan Pierce. “Our priceless artifacts, interactive displays, extensive research library, and a robust collection of educational programs give guests premiere access to Park City’s storied past and how its foundation will guide us into a history-making future.”

Open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 528 Main Street, the Park City History Museum exists to preserve, protect and promote Park City’s rich history and proud heritage. Exhibits trace settlers’ stories back to the Western frontier, and dig deep to reveal 19th-century mining equipment, Park City’s historic underground jail, and the world’s only “Skier Subway.” Learn about Park City’s colorful past and how the community continues to reinvent itself through a number of programs, events, and guided tours. Museum Free Days

Great for locals, day-trippers, or seasonal visitors, guests can enjoy free admission on the third Saturday of each month to explore the museum’s interactive exhibits and education programs.

Guided Summer Walking Tours

June 28 – Sept. 3

Explore Historic Main Street and learn about the architecture, people, and notable events of Park City’s unique history, from the mining boomtown to the world-class ski destination.

History Speaks Lectures

The Park City History Museum’s free educational lecture series features different speakers in a variety of formats including panel discussions, live public radio broadcasts, performances by musicians, and captivating lectures by historians, authors and curators.
