West Fork prescribed burn east of Heber will last several weeks

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — U.S. Forest Service Heber-Kamas Ranger District fire personnel have a prescribed burn planned in the West Fork starting Tuesday and set to last a couple week.

Crews plan on using ground and aerial ignitions, with a goal of targeting 250-500 acres each day.

The West Fork prescribed fire is located 10 miles east of Heber between Duchesne Ridge Rd on the north side and Red Mountain Rd on the south side.
