SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — High Valley Transit’s 101-Spiro bus route will run every 30 minutes starting on Friday, Feb. 4.
“This means you can expect more predictable ETAs and a more reliable experience,” High Valley Transit said in a post.
“This change is temporary as we work hard to increase service frequency in the near future.”
Isabel Hanewicz, a data and performance analyst with High Valley Transit, estimated in a staff report that the 101 route will serve over 550,000 passengers in the year ending June 30. It far outpaces other routes, including High Valley’s microservice.
However, only 80% of the scheduled hours for the 101 route were serviced in the first two weeks of January, according to the report — supporting the 101’s switch from a 15-minute route.
The transit district is currently planning a $21.8 million facility that would sit near Home Depot along US 40. It would replace the current setup at Ecker Hill Middle School.
