HUNTSVILLE, Utah — A 35-year-old male skier died on Friday at Snowbasin Resort after crashing into a weather station and tree, according to the Standard-Examiner.
Resort officials said that ski patrol responded immediately and attempted life-saving measures before he was pronounced dead. The man was skiing with a group at the time of the accident.
“We offer our deepest condolences to the individual’s family and all involved,” Snowbasin said in a statement.
It marks the second skiing death in Utah in recent days. Officials confirmed that a 14-year-old died after a skiing collision in the Sugarloaf area of Alta on Sunday.
