Local Business Spotlight: Alpine Apothecary

PARK CITY, Utah — Trip and Jennifer Hoffman purchased Alpine Apothecary three years ago. The couple both hold pharmaceutical degrees from Mercer University in Georgia. The Apothecary is a compounding pharmacy where high-quality, custom formulas solve individual health issues.

Alpine Apothecary recently expanded and now includes a window that looks into the pharmacists’ workstation, where customers can watch the creation of compounds. The store also sells vitamins, supplements, hygiene products, ethically, and locally sourced goods.

Trip explains the vision for Alpine Apothecary,

“The inspiration comes from helping people more than anything,” he says. “There is a lot of need out there for compounds… We are able to individualize and customize medications, and that is what makes it fun.”

The Apothecary’s primary mission is to help customers live healthier lives. “People are looking for answers. We have set up good tools to answer those health-related questions,” Trip explains.

Alpine Apothecary attributes its success as a business to the Park City community. “We have a lot of support from the community,” Trip says, “It’s fun to help people, and then they become part of our family, and we look forward to seeing them all the time.”
