PCSS’s offers free intro-to-moguls class at the UOP

PARK CITY, Utah — Skiing moguls can seem intimidating to start. The pros at the Park City Ski and Snowboard Team (PCSS) are hosting an afternoon in the bumps at the Utah Olympic Park (UOP).

“Learn the ins and outs of mogul skiing,” as they put it, from US Ski Team athletes and Olympians

Date: January 2
Time: 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Ages: 8+ years

Although this event is geared towards beginner-level mogul skiers, they must be proficient blue/black run skiers, able to make parallel turns, and ride a chairlift without help.

Moguls at ski resorts consist of the mounds of snow left behind when multiple random skiers make multiple random turns down an ungroomed ski run. The moguls which will be used for Thursday’s lesson will be more deliberately shaped/sized thus promoting confidence.

This event is free of charge but limited to the first 25 participants to register.
