JUAB COUNTY, Utah — At roughly 3:15 am on Tuesday, several vehicles traveling on I-15 between Nephi and Scipio were shot, leaving two individuals with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS), witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a light-colored SUV, possibly something like a Jeep Cherokee.

Utah Highway Patrol is currently investigating the four vehicles that were shot. As of the latest report, the suspect was traveling southbound on I-15. “The current whereabouts of the shooter are unknown at this time,” DPS said.

“The public is urged to be alert in the area and report any suspicious activity.  If anyone has information about or witnessed the shooting incident, they are urged to contact the Utah Highway Patrol dispatch at 801-887-3800.”
