Police in Moab are investigating any connection between Petito case and double homicide

MOAB, Utah — On Thursday, the Grand County Sheriff’s Office said that they “are actively looking into any connection between the Gabby Petito missing person case and the double homicide that occurred.”

The sheriff’s office said they’ve been in contact with law enforcement authorities in Florida.

Gabby Petito has gone missing after not returning from a cross-country road trip with her boyfriend. Authorities have just released body camera footage of her in Moab days before her being reported missing.

Crystal Turner and Kylen Schulte were found dead at a campsite near Moab in August. Investigators believe someone killed the women and fled the area.
