Calls for service: police and sheriff logs
Calls for service to the Park City Police Department (PCPD), Summit County Sheriff Department (SCSD), and Search and Rescue (SAR) for the week of September 13 – 19.
MONDAY:
PCPD – An officer followed up on illegal dumping at the Park and Ride on Richardson Flat Rd. The suspects were located and cleaned up the area without incident.
PCPD – Officers investigated a hit and run crash that had occurred on Main St.
SCSD/SAR – An overdue party was reported in the Red Castle area of the Uintas. During the initial report with the caller, the overdue party called in and verified he was safe and on his way home.
TUESDAY:
SCSD/SAR – An overdue party was reported in the Hoop Lake area of the Uintas. Authorities responded to the area and during the initial stages of a search, the overdue party contacted family and confirmed they were okay.
SCSD/ SAR – At end of a shift, a missing person was called in for the Pass Lake area in the Uintas. Authorities responded initially and the person was located shortly after further resources were paged.
WEDNESDAY:
SCSD – An art gallery in Kimball Jct. reported that, the week prior, a credit card payment was taken over the phone for the purchase of several pieces of artwork. The transaction went through, but he was later notified by his bank that the funds were unavailable. His bank advised him the card was fraudulent. The suspect has yet to be identified.
SCSD/SAR – A “mounted posse” teamed up with Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) to conducted search training near Cuberant Lake in the Uintas.
THURSDAY:
SCSD/ SAR – responded to the Christmas Meadows Campground in the Uintas for a welfare check on an overdue party. The involved female was located safely, and the caller was notified by phone.
