SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Last week, the Summit County Council unanimously approved a resolution that will propose a bond worth up to $50 million in order to conserve open space, construct recreational amenities, and fund other environmental improvements.
It will be a simple yes or no vote for Summit County residents in the November 2 election this year.
The bond would be the largest in Summit County history.
It would be paid over 26 years — costing primary residences (home worth = $715,000) $40 per year, and businesses or secondary residences $73 per year.
There will be a public hearing to discuss the matter on September 22 at the Ledges Event Center in Coalville.
