No structures lost in Herriman field fire
SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah. — A field fire erupted in Herriman due to a construction accident on Friday afternoon.
More than 60 firefighters and 20 fire apparatuses worked to put the fire under control. Additionally, two single-engine air tankers and a helicopter assisted with the effort.
No structures were lost, according to the United Fire Authority. “Evacuated animals and residents are on their way back home.”
In addition, 2 SEATs (single engine air tanker) and a helicopter assisted with the fire.
No injuries. Cause is under investigation.
Fire is now under control and firefighters are working to extinguish any hot spots. Evacuated animals and residents are on their way back home.

Authorities will be on the scene for the next several hours to contain any hotspots.
The latest report on the total acreage of the fire is 7.6 acres.
