Moab trailhead signs vandalized with fake "E-BIKES WELCOME" stickers

MOAB, Utah. — There is a $1,000 reward for information related to the theft and vandalism of Utah Bureau of Land Management (BLM) signs at trailheads and on mountain bike trails in Moab, Utah.

Over 70 signs in the Moab area have been vandalized with unauthorized stickers or brown spray paint since September 2020. Metal signs have been unbolted and stolen in some cases. Vandalized trailheads and areas include Sand Flats Recreation Area, Bar-M Trails, Gemini Bridges/Mag 7, Navajo Rocks, and Klondike & Klonzo area trails.

Someone applied “E-BIKES WELCOME” signs on trails where e-bikes are definitely not welcome. BLM staff and partner organizations are replacing and repairing these crucial trailhead signs.
