Greater Salt Lake City Area on Track for Driest Winter on Record

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah. — The Salt Lake City area gets an average of 47 inches of snowfall annually, according to USClimateData.com. This year, however, Utahns are witnessing the driest winter in history, according to the U.S. National Weather Service of Salt Lake City. The graph below is from the agency’s Facebook post showcasing the 2020-21 season being the driest so far with only .41 inches total precipitation. With only 44 days of winter left, keep praying for snow, Utah.
