Cold Weather Safety

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah. — With the upcoming storm cycle, it’s important to keep in mind the potential dangers of low winter temperatures and significant snow accumulation. The Park City Fire District offered the following tips on cold weather preparedness and safety:

  • Travel less and stay home if possible
  • Keep cars packed with a winter survival kit
  • Do not let gas tank get too low for any cars parked outside
  • Learn how to shut off the water supply at home
  • Check in on elderly neighbors
  • Keep pets inside
