Park City Mountain Ski Patrol Strike

Nearly 200 members of the Park City Professional Ski Patrol Association (PCPSPA) began an Unfair Labor Practice strike Friday Dec. 27, citing bad-faith bargaining and violations of the National Labor Relations Act by Vail Resorts, Inc (NYSE:MTN), the parent company of Park City Mountain.

Park City Ski Patrol Union labor strike officially ended on of Jan. 8, 2025. Ski patrol union workers at the nation’s largest ski resort ratified a new contract with Vail Resorts with unanimous support.

The agreement, reached after 10 months and a 12-day labor strike, includes a $2 starting wage increase for all members, an average wage increase of $4, and up to $7.25 for the most experienced patrol members. The new contract also features an industry-leading education package and parental leave.
