Join the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter in this outdoor project managing invasive weeds! Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair habitat. This is a great way to get onto areas of the Preserve that are not open to the public. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Forest Bathing (shinrin-yoku) is an opportunity to slow down, come home to the present moment, commune with Nature, and create spaciousness. It allows for a deepening of our inner and outer awareness, and rejuvenation at all levels. Join Summit Land Conservancy and Ian Napper at Rocky Point Preserve where you can "bathe" in nature and discover peace, solace, and gratitude for this incredible place. Join Swaner & Basin Recreation naturalists for a hike on the north side of the Preserve to enjoy and learn about the wildflowers in bloom! Terrain is variable and the trails are exposed: please come prepared with hiking shoes or boots, sun protection, and water. Join us at Pendry plaza for a high-energy, low-impact workout series in partnership with Pvolve and Theragun. Guests will enjoy a guided exercise class followed by a Therabody recovery lounge and a healthy post-sweat treat. Held on the first Saturday of each month—June through September, this experience is designed to inspire movement and foster community under the lush landscape of Park City Mountain. This is a ninety minute experience. Pvolve on Pendry Plaza will take place on the main outdoor plaza of Pendry Park City. Reservations are required.
Registration for our Thrive Summer program is now OPEN! Thrive is a FREE evidence-based program equipping Summit & Wasatch County students in grades 6-12 with vital life skills. Students meet for one hour weekly on Zoom, with a cohort of up to ten peers and a Thrive facilitator, to learn, practice, and reflect on valuable well-being skills. Student participants will receive a $60 research stipend upon completing the program requirements and attending 5 out of 6 sessions.
