A Big Thanks & A Big Reveal: Meet the Youth Sports Alliance’s Defender

Come meet our new Land Rover Defender 130 at Snow Park Lodge Plaza, Deer Valley, on Thursday, March 28th, between 3 to 5 pm. There will live music, along with free cookies and hot chocolate. Your votes drove the Youth Sports Alliance to victory in the Land Rover Defender Service Awards Outdoor Accessibility and Education category. We’re excited to share this afternoon with you—come and check out the Land Rover Defender that you helped us win.

Community support from across the Wasatch Back was crucial to our success. Everywhere staff and board members went during the campaign — on trails, at churches, and walking through the grocery stores– people let us know that they voted for us, and were voting for us every day. YSA was grateful to our long-time and new friends for helping us in this campaign. Dozens of businesses, nonprofits, Olympians, and just regular folk helped get out the vote on their social media and in their newsletters.

This award is more than just recognition—it’s a game-changer for our programs. Transportation has always been a major hurdle in expanding our Kodiak afterschool programs. With the Defender 130, we can now extend our reach, making previously unattainable programs accessible to more students.
