Kimball Art Center’s Art Night puts focus on arts education

Thursday fundraiser highlights programs reaching students and community members across Park City
PARK CITY, Utah — Kimball Art Center will go back to school Thursday night with an evening celebrating arts education across Park City and Summit County.
Art Night begins at 6 p.m. Oct. 8 at Kimball Art Center, 1251 Kearns Blvd. The annual education open house and fundraiser will highlight programs serving children, teens, and adults while raising money to support continued access to arts education.
This year’s event has a back-to-school theme, and guests are invited to learn more about Kimball Art Center’s Young Artists Academy, K-12 Art Tours, and Golden Art Club. The evening will also include food, drinks, and a silent auction, with proceeds supporting the center’s education programs.
The event comes as visual arts education enters a new phase in Park City schools.
Beginning with the 2026 school year, Park City School District and Kimball Art Center expanded their longtime Elementary Visual Arts partnership so visual arts instruction is now fully integrated into every elementary student’s academic schedule across the district. Every elementary student receives regular, standards-aligned arts instruction as part of the school day.
Kimball Art Center continues to work with schools through curriculum collaboration, museum experiences, visiting artists, and hands-on learning opportunities. The center has partnered with the district on elementary arts programming for more than a decade.
Beyond the schools, Kimball Art Center offers more than 300 classes each year for participants ranging from young children to adults, including workshops, camps, and drop-in programs.
Art Night is free to attend and is recommended for ages 18 and older. Advance registration is required.
