PARK CITY, Utah — Volunteer signups are now open for the 57th annual Park City Kimball Arts Festival, giving community members a chance to help power one of the area’s largest and most celebrated arts events.
The festival returns to Historic Main Street Aug. 7-9 and relies on hundreds of volunteers to assist with everything from artist support and admissions to hospitality and event operations. Organizers say the three-day festival is Kimball Art Center’s largest volunteer effort of the year and one of the largest volunteer-driven events in the state.
Kimball Art Center says the festival relies on more than 300 volunteers each year to help create an event that supports art education programs, free exhibitions, and community arts initiatives.
Volunteer opportunities begin before the festival itself, with preparation shifts running from July 21 through Aug. 6. Festival shifts are available throughout the event weekend. There are about 500 volunteer shifts total.
Volunteers receive a variety of perks, including a festival weekend pass, a commemorative volunteer T-shirt, appreciation bag, access to a volunteer lounge stocked with food and refreshments, discounts on artwork from participating artists, and entries into a volunteer prize drawing. Those who volunteer 20 or more hours annually also earn a complimentary Kimball Art Center Red Individual Membership, valued at $55.
Most volunteer opportunities are open to all ages and experience levels, though some specialized roles may require volunteers to be 21 or older, have a valid driver’s license, or meet other role-specific requirements.
Community members interested in volunteering can learn more and sign up through the Park City Kimball Arts Festival volunteer portal.
