Adoptable Dog of the Month: Meet Collette

Collette, 3, is looking for a calm home and a patient person. She's available through Rescue Rovers. Photo: Rescue Rovers
PARK CITY, Utah — Collette is a gentle, soulful companion with a velcro-dog heart. She starts out shy and a little skittish with strangers, but a few days of patience reveal her true personality: an affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to be near her people. She is quiet and well-mannered indoors, rarely barks — even at the neighbors — and finds security in her crate and the cozy corners of home.
Personality and manners
- Fully trained. Collette is house-trained, dog-door trained, and crate-trained. Her kennel is her happy place, where she sleeps soundly every night.
- A shy sweetheart. She may bark when someone new comes in, but she settles quickly after a sniff and a little reassurance.
- Low maintenance. She is content lounging under the bed or on the floor near her person, and always ready for a belly rub.

The right fit
- Home. A house with a yard for the occasional burst of zoomies and a doggie door would suit her well. She prefers to be outside only when her people are with her.
- Family. Collette will thrive in a calm, structured home with patient adults or children 10 and older who understand she needs time to decompress.
- Other pets. She does well in groups and gets along with other dogs, but would be equally happy as an only dog. A calm, confident canine companion is the best match. She has no history with cats, though she is curious about them on walks.
- Activity. She is a dream on a leash, loves daily walks, and enjoys gentle outdoor adventures.
If you can offer patience and a steady home, Collette is ready to return the favor with a lifetime of loyalty and love.
