Summit County offers free flu and COVID-19 vaccines at October drive-through clinics

PARK CITY, Utah — Summit County residents can get their fall vaccinations without leaving their cars as the Summit County Health Department prepares to host a series of drive-through clinics in Kamas, Coalville, and Park City next week.
The county’s annual Vax ‘n Go clinics will offer flu and COVID-19 vaccines at three locations Oct. 6-8. No appointment is necessary, and walk-up vaccinations will also be available for those who prefer not to stay in their vehicles.
According to the Summit County Health Department, local data indicates that October is an ideal time to receive a flu vaccine ahead of the winter respiratory illness season.
The drive-through clinics will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the following locations:
- Tuesday, Oct. 6, Kamas: Kamas Library, 110 N. Main St. Enter from 100 North.
- Wednesday, Oct. 7, Coalville: Summit County Fairgrounds, 202 Park Road. Enter near the Ledges parking lot.
- Thursday, Oct. 8, Park City: Park City Mountain Resort, 1498 Lowell Ave., in the parking lot near the intersection of Lowell Avenue and Silver King Drive.
An additional vaccination clinic will be offered Saturday, Oct. 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the county’s Taco-Bout Kimball Junction event at the PEAK Center, 6301 N. Landmark Drive. The community event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include free food, activities, and entertainment.
The health department will offer standard, high-dose, and nasal spray flu vaccines, along with the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations will be free for residents without health insurance.
Vaccinations are also available during regular clinic hours at the health department’s locations in Park City, Coalville, and Kamas.
