PARK CITY, Utah — For more than four decades, Deer Valley Resort has set the standard for luxury skiing in the United States. This season, the resort is building on that legacy in a significant way — adding 100 new ski runs as part of the largest expansion in ski resort history, and offering $100 half-day lift tickets to give skiers the opportunity to explore the new terrain for themselves.

The offer will run through the end of the 2025-26 ski season. Skiers can purchase a half-day ticket for $100 at any Deer Valley ticket office. Access begins at 12:30 p.m. on weekdays and is available for walk-up purchases only.

The biggest expansion in ski resort history

The half-day promotion is the exclamation point on what Deer Valley is calling Expanded Excellence, a resort-wide transformation that represents the largest expansion in ski resort history. This season alone, the resort unveiled seven new chairlifts, including the East Village Express, a 10-passenger gondola connecting the new Deer Valley East Village to Park Peak.

Since December 2024, Deer Valley has added 10 new lifts, doubling its skiable terrain. The resort now boasts 31 chairlifts, 4,300 skiable acres, and seven bowls — all blanketed by an average of 300 inches of snowfall per year. The new East Village portal adds 1,200 day-skier parking spaces, and the Snow Park base area has been reimagined from the ground up.

Five-star hospitality, redefined terrain

Deer Valley built its reputation not just on terrain, but on the experience surrounding it. The ski-only resort has long been modeled on the service and hospitality of a five-star hotel — from valet ski storage and slope-side gourmet dining to an award-winning ski school that attracts beginners and seasoned experts alike. Daily lift ticket sales are limited, ensuring the mountain never feels overrun.

That commitment to quality has not gone unrecognized. The World Ski Awards has named Deer Valley the United States’ Best Ski Resort for 13 consecutive years — a streak the resort’s latest expansion is poised to extend.
