Park City to host Olympic watch parties at Miners Park, Library during Winter Games

PARK CITY, Utah — Miners Park will transform into a community viewing space for the Winter Olympics beginning Feb. 6, offering residents and visitors a place to gather and watch daily coverage during the Games.

The “Main Street Living Room” will run through Feb. 22 and feature a large screen, casual seating and grab-and-go food and drink options provided by Main Street restaurants. Organizers say the space is intended as a relaxed drop-in spot to cheer on Team USA, local athletes and celebrate Park City’s Olympic legacy ahead of the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The Main Street Living Room will be open Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Park City Library is also joining the Olympic celebration by streaming Games coverage on the first floor throughout the Olympics. In addition, the library will host an Olympic-themed bilingual family storytime on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 10 to 11 a.m., featuring themed books and a paper-plate ice-skating activity.
