Park City Fire gears up for Climb for the Cure, No Name Saloon hosts local fundraiser

Park City firefighters are heading to Seattle to scale 69 stories in full gear for the annual Climb for the Cure, raising money for blood cancer research. Back home, No Name Saloon is hosting a Feb. 27 fundraiser to help push the team’s efforts even higher.

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City’s firefighters are once again proving they’ll go to great heights to make a difference.

Eighteen members of the Park City Fire District are heading to Seattle later this month to tackle 69 flights of stairs — in full gear — in support of blood cancer research and patient care.

The team will compete in the 2026 LLS Firefighter Stairclimb at the Columbia Center, joining roughly 2,000 firefighters from across the country in one of the nation’s largest firefighter fundraising events. The annual climb supports blood cancer research and patient support through Blood Cancer United.

Park City Fire has participated in the stair climb for more than a decade and is no stranger to the leaderboard. Last year, the district placed second overall in the team rankings. This year, the team is looking to level up their fundraising totals.

On February 27, while the Park City Fire team is climbing stairs in Seattle, No Name Saloon will be hosting a fundraising event here in Park City.

A portion of the day’s proceeds will be donated to Blood Cancer United, and Park City Fire will be onsite from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. selling raffle tickets. Local businesses have stepped up to donate prizes, turning the event into a full-on community effort.

All funds raised will go directly to Blood Cancer United.
