PARK CITY — Kevin Holliday, a Park City native and longtime community figure, is fighting for his recovery after suffering a severe skiing accident Feb. 18 that left him critically injured and in danger of losing his leg.
Holliday, who has worked at Jan’s Mountain Outfitters for more than 20 years and is a former member of the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team, was injured on a Park City slope in an accident that friends and family described as life-changing. He is expected to undergo multiple surgeries and faces a lengthy recovery, leaving him unable to work for the foreseeable future.

His wife, Carolyn, and their daughter, Frieda, are now navigating an uncertain future while supporting his recovery.
“The road ahead will be long and incredibly challenging,” said Stephanie Leonard, a longtime friend who launched a GoFundMe campaign on the family’s behalf. “This sudden and life-changing event has placed an overwhelming emotional and financial burden on his family.”
The campaign, titled “Rallying for Kevin’s Recovery After Skiing Accident,” has raised funds from 183 donors to help offset medical, rehabilitation, and living expenses. It was organized by Leonard on behalf of Carolyn Holliday.
A Park City High School graduate from the early 1990s, Holliday is widely known throughout Summit County as an avid skier, mountain biker, and motocross rider. James Kimball, a community member familiar with Holliday, described him as “well known in the Park City community by many.”
