PARK CITY, UT — Sundance’s final Park City run kicked off Jan. 22, and Carousel was right in the opening wave — premiering at Eccles Theatre with stars Jenny Slate and Chris Pine on hand, joined by Tien Tran and Abby Ryder Fortson.

Directed by Rachel Lambert, the film follows a divorced Cleveland doctor whose neatly managed life gets rattled by parenting pressures — and the return of an old love.
Rebecca Brenner is a Park City–based journalist whose work has appeared in Time, the Los Angeles Times, Tin House, The Rumpus, and other outlets. She is the founder of Mindful. Summit County, a member of Leadership Park City Class 30 and the Park City Community Foundation’s DEI Cohort, and a board member of Summit Pride. Her debut memoir, Paper House, was published by Wayfarer Books in 2025.
