In a letter to neighbors, the Hounds and Handles team said it plans to transform the space into a gathering place centered on food, sports, dogs, and friends.
The letter also acknowledged O’Shucks’ longtime presence in the community, describing the restaurant as a place where neighbors became friends and generations of customers celebrated milestones and made memories.
“We are deeply grateful to the O’Shucks restaurant family, and to all of you, for the community you built here together,” the letter reads.
O’Shucks opened a location Quarry Village in 2006, with the aim to make the space a family-friendly restaurant.
With the closing of Pinebrook, O’Shucks now has the White House location on Park Ave and a location in Downtown Salt Lake City.
Hounds and Handles said it is working to open its doors as soon as possible but did not provide a specific opening date or additional details about its plans for the space. In a post from O’Shucks, they noted the Hounds and Handle restaurant would be “open later this month.”
“We look forward to being a wonderful place to meet, relax and enjoy good times together right here in our neighborhood,” the announcement from Hound and Handles reads.
Additional details about Hounds and Handles, including its opening timeline and offerings, were not immediately available.
