When will Utah ski resorts open? Here’s the 2026-27 schedule so far

UTAH — Utah’s ski season is approaching, and several resorts have announced their planned opening dates for the 2026-27 winter.
Skiers and snowboarders heading out early should be aware that resort uphill policies vary and can change during the season.
All opening dates are tentative and may change depending on weather and snow conditions.
Park City Mountain, Alta Ski Area, and Solitude Mountain Resort are all targeting Nov. 20, according to the opening-date schedule published by Ski Utah. Snowbird and Snowbasin are scheduled to follow on Nov. 27. Deer Valley Resort is targeting a Dec. 5 opening.
Brian Head Resort targeted the earliest opening, hoping to start lifts spinning on Nov. 6, but they announced Wednesday that they “weren’t able to build the base on the lower mountain enough to open the slopes.” The resort hasn’t announced an updated date for their opening.
Several other resorts have not yet announced opening dates.
Eagle Point Resort will not open for the 2026-27 season because of the Cottonwood Fire.
