Wasatch Back Economic Summit tickets drop: Business leaders eye regional future

PARK CITY, Utah — Tickets go on sale today for the 2025 Zions Bank Wasatch Back Economic Summit, hosted by the Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau in partnership with the Heber Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The full-day event, scheduled for Tuesday, May 13 at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, will run from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., featuring keynote presentations, breakout sessions and networking opportunities including a regional mixer.

“Bringing together community leaders and innovators, the Wasatch Back Economic Summit fosters regional collaboration, encourages the exchange of valuable insights and strengthens our business community,” said Jennifer Wesselhoff, CEO and President of Park City Chamber & Visitors Bureau. “Due to its strong year-over-year growth and increasing demand, we’re excited to host this year’s summit at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, offering an expanded venue to accommodate more attendees.”

The summit is held in partnership with Park City Municipal, Summit County, Heber City, and Wasatch County, addressing economic and business challenges affecting the Wasatch Back region.

“The Wasatch Back Economic Summit is a vital opportunity for local business and community leaders to come together, gain valuable insights, and collaborate on solutions that shape our economic future,” said Dallin Koecher, Executive Director of the Heber Valley Chamber, Tourism, and Economic Development office. “With an exceptional lineup of speakers and engaging discussions, this year’s event promises to deliver meaningful takeaways for businesses of all sizes.”

Three keynote speakers headline this year’s program:

Rob Hetrick, senior labor economist at Lightcast and author of “The Demographic Drought” and “The Rising Storm,” will deliver the morning keynote on the nation’s looming labor shortage and how businesses can build a resilient workforce.

Robert Spendlove, Senior Economist at Zions Bank, will provide the lunch keynote with an in-depth economic analysis of the 2025 landscape to help attendees navigate economic uncertainty.

Andreas Mueller-Schubert, co-founder and CEO of WSI Next Gen Marketing, will explore AI’s transformative role in the workplace during the afternoon keynote, offering practical insights for businesses to adopt and leverage AI technology.

The summit will feature six breakout sessions covering transportation, land use, workforce development, future economic challenges, the 2025 legislative landscape, and the intersection of recreation, open space, and energy production.

The event is made possible through sponsorships from numerous organizations including Zions Bank, Summit Events, Intermountain Health, Park City Board of Realtors, Park City Mountain, and Deer Valley Resort, among others.
