PARK CITY and ALTA, Utah – Two more Utah resorts are up and running as of Friday, marking the start to ski season in the Wasatch. Crowds of eager skiers and snowboarders – some of whom camped out in the Canyon’s Village at Park City Mountain Resort – waited for the lifts to open and cheered when they did. Over at Alta a healthy crew of skiers threw out high fives as if it was a powder day.
Although snowfall has been lagging some this early season a storm is on the way this weekend, which could boost base depths ahead of Thanksgiving break.
