Ribbon cutting for 3Kings Water Treatment Plant June 24
The water treatment plant is Park City Municipal's largest infrastructure project to date
PARK CITY, Utah — The public is invited to celebrate the opening of 3Kings Water Treatment Plant on Monday, June 24.
Construction on 3Kings began in 2019, and cost $80 million to complete. Park City officials announced late last month that the water treatment plant, located in in Thaynes Canyon, is now producing water for the municipal system. It can produce up to 7.2 million gallons of drinking water per day.
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the plant will take place at 1884 Three Kings Drive from 4-7 p.m. After the ribbon cutting, attendees will be able to tour the new facility, and partake in refreshments and live music.
No on-site parking will be available. Guests are encouraged to park at Park City Mountain base area and take the shuttle, walk, bike or take Park City Transit to the event. Dogs are not allowed on site.
